Alice

Alice moved into the Arise Homes in January of 2025 with her 4 siblings, Rabecca, George, Jane, and Edward. Alice is 9 years old, in grade 5 at Arise Christian School, and she has been in our program for 5 years.

Before moving into the homes, the siblings lived in a one-bedroom house with their mother, step-father, and the step-father’s children. Sadly, abuse was reported multiple times against the children and our staff contacted the police and the government.  When we tried to work with the mother she was difficult and expressed she didn’t want her children anymore.  The living situation was declared unsafe for the siblings and Arise was allowed to take them into full time care.  We worked with social welfare quickly to remove the children from this very dangerous and abusive environment into our homes.

We know this is the best thing for Alice, and cannot wait to see how she blossoms in a home of consistent care and love. We feel so blessed to have already known her through our schools, and are excited to see how the Lord uses our Arise Home Family to bring healing in her life.
