Gift Mwansa

Gift is 6 years old and is in kindergarten at our Taonga School. He is the middle child between an older and younger brother. He and his brothers live with their grandmother and cousins in Ibex Hill. His grandmother works as a cleaner at a school in Ibex Hill. Gift’s mother passed away when he was younger, and his father is not present in his life. Gift attends church with his grandmother and cousins at St Agnes Catholic Church. He is in Sunday school class and enjoys singing, dancing, and reciting Bible verses. Gift’s hobbies include reading storybooks, playing soccer, learning to write, and watching cartoons. His favorite food is nshima, a Zambian staple, and his favorite fruit is an orange. When Gift grows up, he hopes to become a teacher so he can teach young children like himself how to read and write.
