Karen Banda

Karen is a bright and energetic 6 year old who brings joy to her family. She is the youngest of seven siblings, with three older sisters and three older brothers who adore her. Karen’s mother is a single, hardworking mother who engages in piecework to provide for the family, ensuring her children are cared for despite the challenges they face. Karen’s favorite color is red. In school, she loves coloring, drawing, and learning phonics. Her favorite meal is nshima served with vegetables. When Karen grows up, she hopes to become a teacher when she is older. She hopes that she can help young children like herself when she is a teacher.
